Human hematopoiesis involves the differentiation of a multipotential hematopoietic stem cell (hemocytoblast), and the further differentiation of descendant cells into terminal cells. From this process comes thrombocytes, granulocytes, differentiated monocytes, lymphocytes, plasma cells, erythrocytes, and other mature cells.
