Pretty cool looking, but can leave nasty bites that need to be treated and not one to let stay in your area.

There’s no way I would get close enough to a spider to inspect its head; I kill them all on sight like they’re Silence.
they are native to virginia, and their venom is second to the black widow (as far as native spiders, at least)
